That is one strange looking contraption :!:
The kill is the satisfying, indeed essential, conclusion to a successful hunt. But, I take no pleasure in the act itself. One does not hunt in order to kill, but kills in order to have hunted. Then why do I hunt? I hunt for the same reason my well-fed cat hunts...because I must, because it is in the blood, because I am the decendent of a thousand generations of hunters. I hunt because I am a hunter - Orteyga

The Hoyt is just weird for the sake of weird. It's got "marketing" and not "hunting" written all over it.

My guess is that they see themselves as having fallen back compared to Bowtech in terms of actual innovation over the past few years. Nothing wrong with light weight deisgn and maybe carbon makes sense (or maybe after a few thousand shots it will disintegrate, or in the woods it'll get chipped/cracked and the structure will collapse - who knows?) but you can see how they want to add centre pivot limbs without being a blatant copy so daren't go the whole hog.
