Broadhead info.

I am new to Bow hunting and want to get some Broad heads. (I have had my share of Deer with a rifle)
I imagine you all have your own preferences. I have been looking on different Archery sites.
There seems to be a vast range out there. I have had a look at the Woodsman range, on 3 Rivers Archery that look very good. Which ones have you tried, and how did they perform?
I would like to try a traditional two edge arrow as well, any recommendations?

When you order, do you send for the business end only, or the complete arrow?

I would like to try traditional wooden arrows. If that was the case is it just a mater of gluing the head on?

My Bow is a 55# Samick Lightning.

All the best.

firstly welcome aboard ,
i use woodman broadheads ( 150 gn screw in ) on skinny carbon arrows ( cx edge hunter`s) out of my 55lb blackwidow & i love em !
i used to use 2 blade magnus broadheads but like to way my wd`sman`s fly & i took 2 kudu cows with 2 arrows last year both pass through`s . ;)
the problem with wooden arrows & glue on heads is straightness ( arrows & the fit of the head on the shaft ) if you have nice straight wooden arrows then you shouldn`t have any worrys . re buying you normaly buy arrows with field pionts & then buy whatever broadheads you use ,that way you can practice your shooting before tuneing your hunting set up.
there`s a few of us trad shooters here so feel free to ask anything you need to know .
all the best ,john

Thanks, good advice.
I know what your saying about keeping them true. I make my own fishing rods, somtimes you can glue the end ring on slightly off.
Yes, I had a look at some two sided heads to day, forot the name now, expencive, but as sharp as a razor. That was good shooting... right through! Good arows to.... I am doing this from my mobile and its driving me nuts.. Thanks for the advice. got plenty of questions!Lots to think about to
Thaank you
